It’s an unpredictable industry with many points of excitement each day. P&M Property Services is looking for a lightly seasoned real estate agent (2 years of experience and their real estate license in FL). You’re helping someone find or sell a home and this is a MAJOR point in his/her life! Here are some reasons why you should be a real estate agent AND work with P&M Property Services. See the email below to send you resume to make a change today!

You’re your own boss

downtown_abbeyPro: You are an independent and are the boss of your time! You can get up and walk around, have lunch meetings, and take a 2 hour break -if you wish. You can work from an office, from home, or both! Spend more time with your family or invest all of your time in work. You choose!

Con: You will have open houses on the weekends and be signing a contract when everyone else is eating dinner. But isn’t that worth it for an exciting environment and industry?

You’re the expert

Pro: You know the ins and outs of your community. You get to be PAID to learn more about where you live and sell it to others! You will study where you live and share that knowledge with your clients. Maybe you’ll even have a hurricane checklist for those clients who are moving to the area

Con: You’re being trusted with someone’s money. Deadlines are deadlines. Make sure you’re organized and timely if you choose real estate.

You wear a lot of hats

Pro: “That’s not my job” doesn’t exist in your line of work. You will be the receptionist, data entry clerk, cleaner, coordinator, seller, and the list goes on and on. It keeps your day exciting and there will never be a dull day -guaranteed.

Con: You will be under stress, so make sure you handle it wisely. Take each day by day. You’ll be looked to for answers to your buyers and sellers’ problems. Take a minute each morning to meditate to help you keep your sanity.

Real estate is dynamic

Pro: When the market is booming, all is great in the world. Real estate feels like the best job ever. You may be so flush with cash that you’re finding $100 bills in old jacket pockets. You’re busy and not worried about where the next lead is coming from.

Con: The employment outlook, the stock market and the time of year all impact the housing market. During the slow season, the job starts to feel like a grind. Agents are all scrambling for the same clients and the competition is cutthroat. The job requires someone who can adapt quickly to a changing market.

Know Your Neighbors, Say Hello: The Power of Networking

Season is ending for those of us who live in sunny Florida all year-round. For some businesses, that means extended vacations or for people like myself, WORKING SMARTER (not harder). You never know who’s sitting next to you at a restaurant or a local hangout when you’re out with friends or family. If the situation calls for it, say “Hello” and SMILE! It’s important to socialize outside of “social” networking. YOU JUST NEVER KNOW! Your next client, next friend, or a friend of a friend may be inches from you, but you won’t know unless you start a conversation.

Networking can be done in many ways, but just getting out there and meeting people is the BEST WAY. Networking groups, social events, etc. If you cannot find something that interests you, HOST IT YOURSELF! That’s what I’ve done, here at Kevin L. Kellogg at P&M Property Services. I’ve made some really great connections and even better friends.
